InCommon Affiliate Program (pilot)

The 2010 InCommon Federation Affiliate Program connects higher education institutions and their federating partners with commercial or non-profit organizations that provide software, content, guidance, support, and implementation and integration services related to participating in the federation. This program is a pilot for 2010. Proceeds from the program provide funding for the federation’s ongoing programs, including outreach, collaboration activities, educational offerings, research and development, and technical operations. There are two relationship categories for collaborators:

Participants are organizations with an interest in using the InCommon trust services, hosting an IdPs and/or SPs, and participating in the community collaboration groups and mailing lists. Affiliates interested in becoming an InCommon participant can do so. For more information, see the Join InCommon page.

Affiliates are organizations with an interest in leveraging InCommon's avenues for marketing their federated or federation-related products, services and consulting.

Here is a summary of the benefits of the affiliate program. You can find the details on becoming an affiliate here. You can also find a list of current affiliates here.
