InCommon Affiliate Details (pilot)
The InCommon Affiliate Program (which is a pilot in 2010) is appropriate for organizations with an interest in leveraging InCommon's avenues for marketing their federated or federation-related products, services and consulting. This page outlines the expectation and benefit details in the 2010 InCommon Affiliate Program. You will find a list of current affiliates here. |
Process for Application for 2010 Program
- Complete an affiliate application, including recommendations from two client organizations, with at least one of those an InCommon participant and one higher education institution. Send it to the email address on the form. The InCommon Steering Committee will review the application and references and, if affiliation is granted, the affiliate will receive the affiliate benefits including access to the protected logo resources for 2010. Once per year, the InCommon Steering Committee will review all affiliates to ensure the offered services remain in alignment with the goals of the federation .
- Pay the affiliate program fee listed below.
- If interested in also becoming participant, follow the InCommon Federation procedures for becoming a Sponsored Partner. A higher education partner must sponsor non-degree-granting organizations into the federation. For more information on how to do this, see the InCommon Sponsored Partners page.
Transparency
- To ensure the program is meeting the needs of both the federation and the affiliates, InCommon will sponsor shared communications during 2010 to discuss developments in the federation and solicit feedback on the evolution of the program.
- Affiliates can withdraw from the Affiliate Program at any point, but upon doing so, relinquish any program benefits and use of any InCommon-related logos. No refunds will be issued.
- InCommon reserves the right to occasionally highlight organizations that are not affiliates because of their unique offerings or for other reasons in the best interest of the Federation.
Expectations
Legal Agreement - The Affiliate Program legal agreement is part of the affiliate application.
Mailing lists – Only affiliates who are also participants are eligible to participate on the InCommon discussion lists. You should avoid sales or solicitation messages.
